Since we're having this discussion on a forum, you're kind of preaching to the choir. I'd love to see more activity but the reality is that it doesn't exist - there's a lot of talk about recruitment and amping up community involvement, but actually doing it is a more difficult task then you might think.
Don't be so adamant about getting others involved. Start with yourself. If you're active and bubbling with thought and personality, you won't have to make the effort to recruit. People will come because they see you having a good time.
And if they don't, so what? The only one responsible for you is you. Don't blame your inactivity on the inactivity of others.
boudicca The government wanted to keep Cork in British hands as a block against Spain, that would be the reason for Sweet fighting "against" eIreland. However that doesn't mean that eIreland couldn't use a broader base of democracy in its decision making etc.
