This is how to add and find the information in the Library.
All information in the Library is supposed to be presented without an opinion. You can make your opinion on the validity of the statements in comments but this is not the place for debate.
The library is a resource for information presented in eRepublik for users to post and access (sort of like a Wiki) without fear of tremendous bias.
There are several different categories within the Library:
~ All posts should be prefaced with the category and then the eRepublik day it was posted in. ~
For polls, you put the date the poll first opened. If the poll was used in an article from before, you'll want to link or screenshot the article which the poll results were presented. After the date, you'll want to label it "- Closed:". You may then put the subject or title as it appeared in the article. Make sure you cite the user who posted it in brackets after the title. You can get away with condensing or expanding words as long as the meaning is not fundamentally changed. If you would like to conduct a poll (hence "Institute for Study and Records"), you can use the forum's feature of "Add Poll". But you'll want to label the poll "- Open:". You may than put in a subject or title as you please. When the poll is over, make sure you relabel it "- Closed". Make sure you put your user name in brackets after the title. Examples:
Poll - 1978 - Closed: How many users like pancakes? (J_Doe)
Poll - 2018 - Open: Opinions on chocolate (BobJohnson)
For elections, you put the election day the election you're posting was posted on. You'll also want to label it either "- Congress", "- President", or "- Party". No title is needed. Name in brackets is optional. Screenshots of the election are ideal but as we probably have little record of elections from long ago (with proper party names) you may type out in text the results. The only reservation is that we have proper party names as they appeared during the election. Examples:
Election - 1993 - President
Election - 1873 - Congress
For articles, you must put the date it was published followed by the author and then the title as it appeared when published. Please only preserve articles you find particularly useful for viewing Ireland through a set of historic eyes. Ideally, include both a screenshot and a link. This way it ensures that no documents were falsely manufactured or the user changes or deletes the article in any large manner. Example:
Article - 1981 - Gerald Smyth - The President is Banned
Article - 1932 - Viktor Kurgan - State Prior: Spiritual analysis of CP candidates
For other posts of historical analysis, please just the category, date and some sort of title or categorising mechanism. Example:
Other - 1975 - Public IRC Chat
