That tracking data is awesome Ian. I tried to do something very similar with changes in party membership back in December but I couldn't keep up with it.

These are the statistics for party affiliation in Presidential Elections. The party names represent the current or final name change for each party.
I have stats on party ideology, number of votes, % of votes and number of parties supporting each place finisher to come.
Now with party ideology I went with the last orientation a party had. Many parties have been disbanded so the game does not show party orientation anymore. I did not go through and research each party via wiki. Two parties now reside in the UK. Both are the anarchist parties. They can probably be discounted from the statistics. If anyone wants to go back and find out the party orientation of past parties I would be thankful.
Number of votes is a little skewed since I started with 10 votes and up. So if a party got 1 vote or 19 you fit in the first category.
Same as # of votes the % of votes is a little skewed due to it being 10 % and up not 1% and up.

So there you go. Anyone wants to use this info in an article or anything go right ahead. Actually I would like someone to go through and see what conclusions they draw from it.

Well the anarchists are now in the UK. Back before the rule changed when we were wiped the parties moved nations. I don't know if they were anarchist before the move to the UK or not.
