This formula comes to the University via AppleMan.
The trick to foreign export taxes, and taxes in general is having the right formula. When calculating taxes you add the 2 rates together then multiply times the BEFORE tax price. Before Tax x (Import% + VAT%) = Price With Taxes
or you can work it backwards
Market Price / (1 + (Import% + VAT%)) = Net Income
So Let's take the example of exporting to India: Selling Q7 at 10cc Import 15% VAT 10% To find how much $ you get from each Q7 sold: 10 / (1 + (15% + 10%)) = 8 or 10/(1+25%)=8 or 10/1.25=8
Once you know how to do it it's easy.
Here is a screenshot of a spreadsheet you can use.

I did not realise how irritating my av looked I look a pouty miserable bitch but its how I feel right now.
My Q is - I have a heap of rubber plantations - do I have to get citizenship of a country which has rubber as a resource to take advantage of them? I have a Q7 weapons factory that I was going to set up to supply weapons for Ireland - or more accurately The Labour Party (I have given up waiting on China with my citizenship application)
Well Boudicca I am not the great business person that some others are but I believe the factories/farms etc. you have are in the nation you created them in. You can produce any good but only get a bonus if that nation has the resource and a direct route to the capital.
Once the weapons are made you can donate them to anyone you want.

so they are back in Australia - or more probably Indonesia or Chile now. I am certainly not getting any bonuses for what they produce. Anyway thanks for the input Anthony
You are welcome. Same with the RMs you produce. You can donate them to anyone so you can supply the Labor Party.

Your country doesn't need to have that exact resource, for each different resource your country has it will add 20% on to the production, so if you had a rubber plantation but your country only had an iron region you would still get a 20% bonus. I think now they have changed it so that companies are linked to your account rather than to the country you made it in, so if you move to a country with a high bonus your companies will receive that bonus.
